Zeno-Zencovich

Vincenzo Zeno- Zencovich has received degrees in Political Sciences and in Law in the University of Rome “La Sapienza” and has completed his education in the USA (Harvard Law School) and in England (Cambridge University). He was tenured in 1990. After having taught in the Universities of Genoa, Sassari and Cagliari, he is at present full professor of comparative law in the Law faculty of the University of Roma Tre, where he has taught also Communications law and ICT law. He has been visiting professor in the University of Oxford and at University College London and has held lessons, lectures and conferences in numerous European and US universities. A significant part of his publications (which consist in over forty volumes as author or editor, and over 300 articles in law reviews and books) is devoted to the legal aspects of media law and ICT, including two extensive commentaries on data protection, a handbook on telecoms law and another on media law. He is one the editors of the main Italian media and communications law review, “Il diritto dell’informazione e dell’informatica”. He has been extensively engaged in the implementation of the EU media and telecoms in Italian law. He has been advisor to the Italian government in most of the 2G to 5G mobile licences tenders and auctions.
