Alessandro Mantelero is Associate Professor of Private Law and Law & Technology at Polytechnic University of Turin and EU Jean Monnet Chair in Mediterranean Digital Societies & Law. From 2016 to 2022, he served as scientific expert for the Council of Europe on AI, data protection and human rights. He has also advised several organizations, including the UN, the European Commission, the EDPB, the EU FRA, the Italian Ministry of Justice, the Presidency of the Dominican Republic, and the Brazilian Federal Senate. His latest book is Beyond Data. Human Rights, Ethical and Social Impact Assessment in AI (Springer- Asser, 2022).
