Peter Kimpian is working at the Data Protection Unit of the Council of Europe and is in charge with law enforcement and national security related privacy matters, with internet governance issues and with the implementation of Global data protection Convention 108+. Working as international privacy and data protection expert for the last 7 years Peter has been previously involved involved in topics like EU PNR Agreements with third states, EU PNR Directive, EU-US TFTP Agreement, EU regulation on drones and the EU-US Privacy Shield agreement. He has also been active recently in capacity building programs in Africa aiming at delivering modern and robust privacy bills and policies for partner countries.
