Zoe Kardasiadou is a lawyer by education and has worked in the field of ICT law and data protection law since more than 20 years. Already in her doctoral thesis, Zoe dealt with legal issues relating to AI, more specifically with product liability and medical malpractice. She is working as legal and policy officer for the European Commission, at the Data Protection Unit of DG JUST. Before her current position, she worked as legal officer at the EDPB, EDPS and the EU Fundamental Rights Agency. Zoe also worked for 10 years at the Greek data protection authority and headed the Department for policy and supervision.
