Fumio Shimpo is a Professor of Faculty of Policy Management at Keio University. Ph.D in Law. The area of academic expertise is Constitutional Law, Cyber-Law and Robot Law. A previous Commissioner for International Academic Exchange at the Personal Information Protection Commission of Japan. Dr. Shimpo is also responsible for the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Association of Law and Information Systems, the Executive Director of the Japanese Constitutional Law Society, Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Information and Communications Policy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications. He has widely published in the field of privacy, data protection ,information law and AI & Robot Law.
