Sara is a researcher at VUB LSTS research group and d.pia.lab since October 2018. Her research interests are DP, innovation/experimentation in law, HRI, AI and ethics, PNR and LE access to data. She is preparing her PhD and working in EU co-funded project HR-Recycler. She holds a DES in public and administrative law from ULB (2006) and an LLM in International and European Law from VUB/IES (2018). She worked as a lawyer in Lisbon at Abreu, Cardigos & Associados (currently Abreu Advogados) and at ABBC Law firm (currently DLA Piper) in public and administrative law until 2009. She worked in Brussels as a legal and senior policy officer at the Council of European Dentists until 2016. She is part of the CPDP2020 Core Programming Committee and is the CPDP2020 DPO.
