Alberto Gago Fernandez joined the "Data and Innovation Policy" unit of DG CNECT as policy officer in 2017. He works to achieve a political framework that allows greater exchange of data between the private sector and the public sector for public interest purposes. He also contributes to the policy on Common European Data Spaces, particularly the development of data spaces for smart cities, public services and health. Previously, he worked as Project Manager in DG SANTE - Luxembourg, leading on the EU Health Policy Platform and EU Health Award for NGOs and as a research officer in the Fundaci_n Seminario de Investigaci_n para la Paz in Zaragoza.
