Malte Beyer-Katzenberger is a lawyer by training. Since 2011 he works for the European Commission, DG CONNECT as a policy developer and team leader on data-driven innovation. Most recently, he had been involved in the formulation of the 2020 European data strategy. He has developed and negotiated the Data Governance Act and the Data Act.
