Cybereco is a non-profit hub located in Quebec, Canada focused on boosting organizational resilience and effectiveness to deal with the complex and challenging cyberattacks facing the global community. It has a growing membership of over 30 international, national and local organizations that span the financial, business, industrial and academic sectors. These organizations represent a range of maturity in their cybersecurity and privacy posture. It is this diversity that adds value to the framework established by Cybereco - a cyber ecosystem that fosters safe information sharing and mutual reinforcement within a set of rules and accompanying tools/resources. Cybereco welcomes you to explore the benefits of joining at https://cybereco.ca/en/resources/.
A new ISO sub-committee has been established - ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 44, Consumer protection in the field of privacy by design - to continue the work of the Project Committee (PC317) that published ISO 31700. Participants will take part in an interactive consultation/brainstorming activity to provide possible solutions to a problem – how do we shape the future of consumer protection in the world of AI and how can this new ISO sub-committee on privacy by design play a role? What do we need to know? What do we need to do? What are the main priorities? Former members of PC317, representing diverse perspectives (consumer advocacy, academics, technical, legal/regulatory experts), will facilitate a lively, energetic Workshop. Known as Robert Jungk’s “Future Workshop” methodology we will brainstorm using colorful Post-it notes on walls, subsequently cluster inputs, during which, we will offer an interactive space for exchanging diverse ideas for new areas and approaches to standards in the field. The outcomes will be used to inform the work of SC44 and its future projects.
