Job Description - Conference Volunteer

To create the best possible environment for our guests and panellists, we work with a group of young, spirited, and well-grounded students, mostly joining us from the institutions of the conference partners.

We invite you to volunteer at the 20th edition of the CPDP conference in March 2027. In exchange for your volunteering efforts, you get free entrance to the conference. You will have no more than one day to work (thus two full days + the opening night to enjoy the conference) but the exact hours we ask you to volunteer depend on the number of volunteers: the more volunteers, the less hours everyone needs to work, and accordingly the more time you can spend freely at the conference. 

Your tasks

You will be allocated to one specific task during the day you are working. These tasks include, among others: assistance in the panel rooms (e.g. giving out microphones during Q&As and fetching fresh water and glasses for panellists), at the registration desk, information desk or the cloakroom; hosting and guiding participants and other similar tasks. 

Your Profile
  • Master student in fields such as law, computer sciences, security, communication,European related studies…
  • Fluency in English (French or Dutch is an asset)
  • Fully available for at least one day of 8 – 11 March 2027
  • Preference for non-employed students, to give priority to those who may face financial constraints and would otherwise be unable to participate.
  • Interested in privacy, data protection and other legal and ethical issues posed by technologies.
  • You like to take the initiative and work independently.
