Europe

Law & Innovation is an academic spin-off of the Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society and the Einstein Center Digital Future. It was founded by Dr Max von Grafenstein as part of his professorship in Digital Self-Determination, with the aim of developing demonstrators at the intersection of data protection by design, UX design and the innovation economics. The latest development is Consenter and the underlying ConStand standard, which are designed to enable consumers to make informed decisions about the disclosure of their data and to allow service providers to take advantage of the long-promised competitive advantages of data protection law. ConStand builds upon Advanced Data Protection Control (ADPC), Global Privacy Control (GPC) and further specifications.
