Dr. Jessica Pidoux is Director of PersonalData.IO, a Swiss NGO which mission is to develop, support and steward infrastructure that enables, accelerates and maximizes individual and collective empowerment around personal data. She has conducted algorithmic audits of gig platforms, contributing to fair working conditions and informing digital policy debates. She holds a doctorate in digital humanities (EPFL) and specialises in the sociology of algorithms and work, employing participatory methods. Her expertise includes matching algorithmic systems and personal data protection, and is currently employed as a sociologist at the University of Neuchâtel.
