The 20th edition of the Computers, Privacy and Data Protection conference will take place from 8–11 March 2027 at Maison de la Poste in Brussels, under the theme “What We Owe the Future”.
As we look towards the future of digital society, CPDP 2027 will bring together researchers, policymakers, practitioners, civil society, students, artists and other members of the digital governance community to explore the questions, challenges and responsibilities that lie ahead.
Now, we are opening the programme to your ideas.
Whether you have research to share, a panel or workshop to propose, a cultural perspective to bring, or would like to contribute as a volunteer, there are several ways to take part in CPDP 2027.
Contributions can be submitted through the following calls:
Panel proposals should bring together diverse perspectives and foster critical and constructive debate on digital society, data protection and emerging technologies, at the intersection of law, technology and fundamental rights.

CPDP workshops are interactive sessions that provide an opportunity for organisers to share their expertise and engage directly with the CPDP audience through discussion and collaborative exchange.
Deadline: 14 December 2026
Researchers from different disciplines are invited to submit original work addressing the main conference theme and related questions. The call welcomes contributions from experienced scholars as well as PhD students and early-career researchers.
Deadline: 15 November 2026
CPDP is looking for master's students to volunteer at the 2027 conference. Volunteers will have the opportunity to support the organisation of the conference, attend sessions and connect with members of the privacy and data protection community.

The CPDP Culture Club offers a creative space to explore the key themes of the conference through artistic and cultural perspectives. We invite contributions that encourage reflection, spark discussion and bring new ways of thinking to the programme.
