Paula Helm is Ass. Prof. in Data Ethics at University of Amsterdam. Her work is situated at the intersection of STS and Integrated Ethics. The larger goal and mission is to move AI-Ethics from the PR- to the Engineering- and Development-Level. Paula holds a PhD (summa cum laude). Before starting at UvA, she was PostDoc at the TUMunich and the Ethics Center in Tübingen, where she co-led work-packages in several national and EU-projects concerned with the creation and ethical advancement of AI-Systems in various domains. Her work has been published at New Media & Society, Ethics & Information Technology, Duke UP, Surveillance & Society, ACM FAccT and AIES.
