Katarzyna Barud is a lawyer graduated from the University of Warsaw (Master of Laws) and Ludwig-Maximilian-Universität in Munich (LL.M. in International and European Law), and a CIPP/E. Since 2021, she has been a research associate at the Department of Innovation and Digitalisation in Law, University of Vienna, where she is involved in EU and third-party funded projects. Her research currently focuses on legal and ethical challenges regarding data analytics and data sharing, data intermediaries and emerging EU data spaces, data reuse and associated risks, as well as ML/AI solutions and their applications.
