Jill Toh is a PhD candidate at the University of Amsterdam, Institute for Information Law. Her research uses the conceptual framework of racial capitalism to address the intersection of data, technology and labour in the platform economy. She conducts socio-legal research related to data governance and algorithmic management, and the intersection of workers' and digital rights. With two others, she also runs the Racism and Technology Center, a non-profit based in Amsterdam.
