Joanna Strycharz (MSc.) is a PhD Candidate of Persuasive Communication at the University of Amsterdam. Her 3-year PhD project is part of the Research Priority Area ‘Personalised Communication,’ an interdisciplinary cooperation between the Institute for Information Law and ASCoR. She examines consumer knowledge of privacy issues related to data collection by commercial organizations for personalized marketing purposes and consumer empowerment. As of February 2020, she has been appointed Assistant Professor of Persuasive Communication at ASCoR.
