Stephanie is a VUB alumnus and holds a Master’s degree in Criminological Sciences. During these studies, her interests particularly leaned towards her specialization in policing and surveillance. She is currently working as a doctoral researcher on an FWO-project under Prof. Dr. Luces Melgaco and Prof. Dr. Rosamunde Van Brakel. The aim is to analyze official discourses surrounding the implementation of smart video surveillance in some of our smart city programmes.
