Marco Stefan obtained his PhD in EU Law at the University of Ferrara, Italy. He is Research Fellow at the CEPS Justice and Home Affairs section, where he actively follows EU policy developments in the Area of Freedom, Security and Justice. In his research, he has dealt extensively with issues related to police and judicial cooperation in criminal matters. Marco is CEPS' main researcher within the JUD-IT Project, analysing the functioning of EU and international legal framework of judicial cooperation for cross-border access to electronic data. Throughout his academic and professional career, Marco has gained experience speaking at high level events and moderating experts meeting.
