Jan Schallaböck is an attorney at iRights.Law Rechtsanwälte, leading the privacy practise of the firm. Prior to joining iRights.Law, he conducted research on privacy technologies at the DPA of Schleswig-Holstein (ULD). Before this employment he monitored the UN World Summit on the Information Society for a non-profit. Part of his legal training was at the foreign service, at the embassy in Almaty, Kazakhstan as well as the unit for ICT-regulation at the Berlin headquaters. Jan has been engaged in international standardization at different fora for more than a decade and is currently chairing ISO’s PC 317 on privacy by design for consumer goods and services.
