Francesco Ricci is full professor at the Faculty of Engineering, Free University of Bozen–Bolzano, Italy. He was Senior Researcher and Technical Director of the E-commerce and Tourism Research Lab (eCTRL), ITC-IRST, Trento, Italy, from 2000 to 2006. His research interests include recommender systems, user modeling, machine learning and ICT applications to travel and tourism. He is the author of more than two-hundred refereed publications. He is in the steering committee of the ACM Conference on Recommender Systems and was committee president from 2007 to 2010. He is the Co-Editor of the Recommender Systems Handbook (Springer 2022).
