Justine Piret is a Legal and Policy officer in the European Commission (DG HOME), in the Unit in charge of ‘Digital Schengen’. Since September 2018, she has worked on the development and implementation of ETIAS and of the Entry/Exit System. She joined the Commission in 2013. After working for nearly three years on Aviation safety and environment in the Directorate-General for Transport (DG MOVE), she moved on to work as a legal officer in Security Research in the Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs (DG HOME). Prior to joining the European Commission, Justine worked for a year and half in the private sector on competition law.
