Tadek Pietraszek is responsible for protecting Google users against hijacking and abuse. As a Principal Software Engineer he has been leading teams advancing authentication and balancing security and usability at the scale of billions accounts. Our defense-in-depth approach includes dynamic login challenges, in-session risk analysis, secure multi-factor authentication and a complementary effort to reduce weak and compromised password reuse at Google and across the Internet. Tadek’s personal and professional interests include usable security and applied machine learning. He holds a PhD from Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg.
