Jen is director of defenddigitalme, a call to action to protect children’s privacy, in the education sector in England and beyond. Funded by the Joseph Rowntree Reform Trust Ltd, she founded the not-for-profit in 2015, in response to concerns from families and teachers about the increasingly invasive uses of children’s personal data, from pervasive state surveillance, and newly emerging technologies in the classroom. In 2019 Jen was commissioned to write a report on children’s data protection in education, for the Council of Europe Committee on Convention 108. defenddigitalme.com @TheABB
