Jorge is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow and Lecturer at Erasmus University in Rotterdam. His research focuses on privacy and smart city participatory practices. He is also interested in the privacy implications of AI technologies and how people navigate these. As part of a Horizon Europe project, he has been working towards a framework for a fair, transparent, and accountable AI. He has since founded Baltic Privacy - a social enterprise focused on promoting Privacy and ensuring correct systems and policies are in place. Further to his academic and professional practices, Jorge has been actively engaging in policymaking and advocacy, often participating in APPGs and plenary sessions at the House of Lords.
