Cristina Monti is Policy Officer at the European Commission, in the Unit dealing with International Data Flows and Protection of the Directorate General for Justice and Consumers. She works in particular on the analysis and assessment of the level of data protection in third countries.
Previously, she was Head of Sector for Internet Governance in the Directorate General for Communications networks, Content and Technologies. She represented the Commission in the Governmental Advisory Committee of ICANN and in the Multistakeholder Advisory Group of the Internet Governance Forum.
Cristina joined the European Commission in 2012. Previously, she was Director of the European Internet Forum, an independent forum led by Members of the European Parliament.
