Geert Lokhorst is a research master student at the University of Amsterdam Institute of Information Law. His interests include intellectual property and data protection, with a specific interest in personal data processing by government entities. Geert Lokhorst studied political science, and law and economics at Leiden University, receiving his bachelors in law and economics with honours. During his master’s, Geert Lokhorst studied intellectual property and privacy law at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City. Alongside of his academic studies, Geert has worked as a law assistant in the field of intellectual property and as tutor in administrative law and Roman law.
