Marianne Junger is professor of Cyber Security and Business Continuity at the University of Twente, The Netherlands. She received her PhD in 1990, at the Free University of Amsterdam, Amsterdam. Her research investigates the human factors of fraud and cybercrime, more specifically victimization, disclosure and privacy issues. The aim of her research is to develop interventions that will help to protect users against social engineering and to increase compliance. She founded the Crime Science journal together with Pieter Hartel and was an associate-editor for 6 years (https://crimesciencejournal.springeropen.com/). Her research was sponsored, among others, by the Dutch Police, NWO, ZonMw (for health research), and the EU.
