David Graus is a lead data scientist at Randstad Groep Nederland, the global leader in the HR services industry. He and his team of data scientists develop AI systems for a variety of data-driven products and services, including algorithmic matching of job seekers to jobs. At Randstad, David actively explores designing ethical, trustworthy, and compliant AI in recruitment, which is to be considered a high-risk area under the AI act. Previously, he developed an online news recommender system for a Dutch newspaper that takes into account editorial values. David received his PhD in information retrieval from the University of Amsterdam in 2017.
