Benoit Frénay is currently professor at the University of Namur. He holds a PhD in machine learning and is the author of about 35 scientific works in international journals and conference. His research focuses on human-centered machine learning with topics such as interpretability, interactivity, robustness and safety. He regularly gives talks about artificial intelligence to broad audiences (lawyers, industry, teachers, children, etc.). He is involved in several fundamental and applied research projects, e.g. related to open data, sign language, Industry 4.0 and open data. He is in charge of the data science programme of study at UNamur.
