Prof. Denis Duez is lecturer in political science and European politics at the Institute for European Studies of the Facultés universitaires Saint-Louis (Brussels). After completing his PhD on border control and illegal immigration to the European Union (ULB, 2007), he was “European Studies Centre Visiting Fellow” at St Antony’s College, University of Oxford (2007-2008). His research focuses theories and practices of bordering with regard to the issue of legitimacy of the European integration process. It combines security studies, political theories and migration studies.
