Lani is a member of Microsoft’s EU Government Affairs team in Brussels where she leads Microsoft’s engagement on internet jurisdiction and cross border issues. She also sits on the Board of Directors for the Cross Border Data Forum, an organization of industry and academics organized to produce relevant scholarship and public dialogue on policy issues. Prior to moving to Brussels, she was a Senior Attorney in Microsoft’s Corporate, External and Legal Affairs department focusing on privacy and competition. Lani was also an inaugural fellow at the Data & Society Research Institute in New York in 2014-15, where she focused on the connection of privacy and venture capital.
