Gauthier Chassang is a lawyer working at the French Institute of Health and Medical Research (Inserm) in Toulouse Medical University, since 2010. Specialised in bioethics, privacy and data protection in the field of biomedical research, in particular regarding genetics and e-health developments, he works as a legal/ethical counsellor. He is contributing to the Common Service on Ethical Legal and Social Implications of biobanking for the pan-european Research Infrastructure for Biobanking and Biomolecular Research (BBMRI-ERIC - www.bbmri-eric.eu) and is acting as an expert for the European Commission research and ethics department since 2017.
