Dr Mireille M Caruana is Senior Lecturer in Law and Digital Technologies and Head of Department of Media, Communications and Technology Law within the Faculty of Laws, University of Malta. She was awarded her PhD from the University of Bristol in 2014 on the basis of her thesis on data protection and the differing European approaches to uses of personal data in the criminal justice sector. She graduated Doctor of Laws (LLD) from the University of Malta in 2002. She was called to the bar (Advocate) in Malta in 2003. She specialised in Computer and Communications law at Queen Mary University of London (LLM 2008).
