Jorge is currently an Assistant Professor at Leiden University Law School. His multidisciplinary research focuses on the critical issues of digitalisation and A.I. in different contexts, such as smart cities, workplace surveillance and workers’ privacy through a human behaviour and Contextual Integrity lens. He was involved in four HorizonEurope projects where he studied the effects of workplace surveillance in the construction industry (BIM-SPEED and ASHVIN), working towards transparent and fair AI (SPATIAL), and tech and social solutions for better building practices (REINCARNATE). In addition to his research focus, Jorge teaches Management and Marketing subjects. He holds a PhD in Management from the University of St Andrews and a Master’s degree in Consumer Analytics and Marketing Strategy from the University of Leeds. Prior to academia he worked as Head of Marketing and Analytics in several companies and startups.
