Event Description

How can we supervise AI? What should be the role of Data Protection Authorities to limit the impact of AI on human rights such as new types of privacy intrusions, discrimination, bias, non-transparency, social manipulation or social grading? Which instruments are at our disposal? Do we need new tools, new frameworks? Are there any enforcement gaps? If any, how to address them? What role for ethics in AI governance?

Join us and co-create a vision for the future of AI governance and supervision, together with participants from a variety of fields in a World Café at EDPS on Tuesday 21 January 17:00-19:00. Your refreshing thoughts and experiences gathered will create the fuel for the EDPS4 panel on AI governance during the main event. The setting is open, creating conversation and buzz in small groups, as if you were at your favourite café, under the Chatham house rule.  If you would like to read more about the process we will use, see A cocktail will follow this lively discussion.

The number of participants is limited to 50 people. Please register your participation via the following form on the website.
