Europe is proud to have the most progressive privacy legislation in the world, however the lack of enforcement leads to legitimate frustration of users and small business. In order to unlock the full potential of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) some of the persisting issues related to its enforcement by Europe’s Supervisory Authorities have to be fixed. The panel is aimed at understanding the underlying issues, as well as identifying concrete and workable solutions with key actors representing a national supervisory authority, academia, and the European Data Protection Board (EDPB).
