Born in Biberach, Germany in 1977. “Abitur” in 1996. Studied law at the University of Augsburg. Completed a two-year specialist foreign-language training for lawyers in English at the University of Augsburg in 1999. Sat first state law examination in 2001. Second state law examination in 2003. M.A. in European Criminology from the University of Leuven, Belgium (2004-2005). Final thesis on “The EU’s fight against terrorism: An analysis of the institutions of the Third Pillar.” Trainee at Europol, the Hague (2005-2005). Lawyer at the Legal Service of Eurojust, the Hague (2006). Course Director in Section III of the Academy of European Law since May 2006.
