Short BIO

Michael Friedewald is senior researcher and head of the ICT research unit at the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research. The focus of his work is on the social and economic impact of emerging technologies and their implications for policy making. He is co-ordinator of the FP7 projects 'Privacy and emerging fields of science and technology' (PRESCIENT), 'Supporting fundamentAl rights, PrIvacy and Ethics in surveillaNce Technologies' (SAPIENT) and 'The PRIvacy and Security MirrorS' (PRISMS).
